Hang Out Space is a community recreation project that explores how architecture can mediate between movement, sound, and social interaction in a dense urban context. Anchored by three thick structural walls, the building supports a series of floating spaces connected by free circulation, allowing activities to unfold continuously across levels. These walls act simultaneously as structure, sound buffer, and spatial threshold—separating loud and quiet programs while maintaining visual and physical continuity. Through sectional layering and environmental analysis, the project translates site context, noise, and occupation into an architecture defined by motion, permeability, and shared use.

Hangout Space Filled with Recreational Activities

Context & Potential Occupation
The site is shaped by surrounding programs, circulation, and existing social intensity. These conditions suggest informal activities that transform the site into a shared hangout space.

Site Plan

The site plan situates the hangout space within circulation paths and surrounding programs.

Floor Plans

Three thick walls provide structural support, allowing spaces to float and circulation to remain free and continuous.

Sections & Elevations

Read together, the section and elevation depict activities in motion. The central wall acts as structure, sound buffer, and spatial threshold, separating loud and quiet programs while maintaining continuity.
